I visited Cantina Laredo to celebrate my birthday with a group of my friends. We needed a restaurant that had a convenient location, great food, prompt service, and a fun environment. Cantina Laredo easily exceeded all of our needs.
Cantina Laredo is located in The Gulch district of Nashville, TN. Parking in the Gulch can be quite a hassle, but Cantina Laredo has that problem resolved with free valet parking. The valet attendant quickly assisted us in parking our car. We had friends joining us from all over the Nashville area so we needed a central location with easy access to parking. Cantina Laredo’s location was perfect for our group and the valet parking was an unexpected bonus.
We selected Cantina Laredo because many people have bragged about the authenticity of their Mexican menu. I consider myself to be a fresh Mexican food addict, so my expectations were pretty high. We arrived about twenty minutes before our reservation, but they seated us at the bar and quickly delivered our drinks while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. As soon as our party was present, we were seated at a spacious table pre-stocked with chips and salsa.  We enjoyed the fresh guacamole while we caught up with friends we had not seen in a while. The entire staff was very attentive and exceeded our expectations. All of our drinks were promptly refilled and our chips and salsa appeared to be bottomless. The entrees were divine! I had the Camerones Escondidos and it was delicious! The chicken was flavorful and juicy and the shrimp had just the right amount of spice.
After our visit to Cantina Laredo, we have decided to make it a birthday tradition due to the perfect location, delicious food, attentive staff, and party atmosphere.
