Eastland Cafe is a prime enclave for dining, cocktails and relaxing in understated elegance in East Nashville.
I was so pleased to discover Eastland Café in Nashville TN when I moved to the area a couple of years ago from Los Angeles. While exploring my new East Nashville neighborhood, I drove east on Eastland Avenue, toward Riverside Drive. Here I found a small, unexpected enclave of restaurants and coffee shops stationed neatly on both sides of the road. From the exterior, Eastland Café looked warm and inviting and my interest was peaked. In the last couple of years, I”ve visited Eastland a few times, and each dining experience has been excellent. Last year I celebrated my birthday with a family dinner at Eastland Café and everyone was thrilled to discover such a gem of restaurant in “my” neighborhood. The menu features something for every taste…from favorite standards like pecan-crusted chicken or grilled flat-iron steak to more creative dishes like the housemade potato & thyme gnocchi appetizer. Local fare from farms and food http://www.phpaide.com/?langue=en artisans in the surrounding area are prominent on the menu. Prices of entrees range from approximately $16 to $25. There is also a kid’s menu, all choices priced at $6 including vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. The atmosphere at Eastland and the menu specials make it an ideal local happy hour spot. They feature $5 appetizers and specialty martinis and $3 premium beers, Monday thru Thursday 5pm – 6:30pm, and Fridays, Saturdays 5pm – 6pm. My one contention is the wish that these specials lasted longer than and hour to an hour and a half…a longer window to enjoy these would be great, say three hours during the weekdays and maybe two hours on the weekends. For certain, I look forward to tasting new discoveries and relaxing in ambience of Eastland Café in Nashville more often this year.
