Marché Artisan Foods Nashville TN 37206
Marché Artisan Foods East Nashville TN 37206. French-country cuisine in a casual, charming café setting.
Marché Artisan Foods, located near “Five Points†in historic East Nashville, has become a favored spot for French-country cooking in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere for locals and area visitors alike. Over the last couple of years, I’ve taken family and friends to Marché, and we’ve enjoyed a delicious experience each visit. The menu features classic and seasonal European-inspired comfort food. Marché’s Sunday brunch is particularly popular each week, and the wait for a table is often 20 minutes or more. But the wait is worth it, as the food is great and the service professional. While waiting for a table, be sure to sample one of the delicious cocktails, freshly baked pastries, or order from the full-service coffee & espresso bar. Also, peruse the market shelves for housemade specialty gourmet items to try at home. I’m especially fond of the Blood Orange Puree mixer or the Red Pepper Jelly, which complements everything from eggs to turkey sandwiches. From Marché’s menu, my favorite, must-have brunch appetizer is the Pears and Camembert served on toasted bread, drizzled with balsamic honey – truly mouthwatering. From the Lunch Menu, the Crepes du Jour never fails to please, or for heartier appetites, the classic Ruben or Pasta Bolognese are superb. The casual, yet elegant atmosphere at Marché is styled much like a corner café in Paris, with large, sunny windows, marble-top bistro tables for small parties and long farmhouse tables to accommodate larger groups. Marché is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Tuesday thru Friday, brunch Saturdays and Sundays, and closed on Mondays. Reservations are taken for dinner only. Marché is definitely a jewel in the crown of East Nashville’s dining scene.
