Riverside Village Pub and Beer Garden is a great neighborhood place to get a great beer and good food.
The Riverside Village Pub and Beer Garden in Nashville TN sits in the heart of the Riverside Village community that is home to a variety of great locally owned businesses. The Village Pub has a very casual atmosphere with a neighborhood feel. Happy Hour is Monday – Friday from 4-7pm where draft beer is 1/2 off (about $2.25 pint). Don’t worry because the draft list is filled with a tasty selection. Some of the draft choices are Sweetwater IPA, Yazoo, Fat Tire, Guinness and Sierra Nevada. If beer is not your thing they also have wine and the Moscow Mule cocktail that you will just want to drink because of the cool looking pewter mug that it is served in. While you are there you can grab a bite to eat. They are known for the stuffed pretzel sandwiches served with chips (around $8) some choices include chicken, bratwurst, veggie and black bean. The giant pretzels with Yazoo beer dip and stone ground mustard is also a local favorite. When you walk up, you see the covered patio (heated in the winter) that beckons you to come inside. Sometimes you can even catch live music on the patio. Smoking is allowed on the patio but not inside the pub. Parking is not an issue since there is a big lot but it is shared with a restaurant so on the weekends it can be tough. Even though the weekends are busy you can usually find a seat. My favorite is the bike racks out front to encourage those in the neighborhood to ride to the pub, this just adds to the charm and their community awareness. If you are familiar with the East Nashville vibe, you know the Village Pub fits right in. It is a 21 and over bar so you have to leave the children with the sitter. If you are looking for a place nearby to kick back with some friends, watch a Predators game, have a good beer and bite to eat The Village Pub and Beer Garden in Nashville is the place.
