Mozzarella Pizzeria
Great pizza and great prices have made Mozzarella Pizza in Hermitage our new favorite. It’s easily the best pizza in Hermitage, TN.
Tucked in a dingy old strip mall next to the 37076 Post Office, Mozzarella Pizza doesn’t have as much curb appeal as the shiny Pizza Hut and Papa Johns down the street but they’ve got something the big chain pizza places don’t have: local flavor.
If you can dodge the potholes in the parking lot, come inside and savor the smells of a nice, inexpensive Italian restaurant. While we prefer the pizza, they do offer a full menu of Italian dishes from spaghetti and lasagna to calzone and stromboli. You won’t mistake it for the twice as expensive dishes at the fancy places in downtown Nashville but, hey, it’s good and cheap. But let’s get back to the pizza.
Great Pizza from Mozzarella
Four sizes of “Gourmet Pizza” range from $8.99 for the small up to $17.99 for an XL pizza which can feed a family of 4 or two hungry teenagers. I can personally vouch for their Meat a ala Carte & Pesto Chicken pizzas as the best of the best. I’m working my way through the rest like the Greek pizza and the seafood pizza but I don’t think I’ll be able to try the Ranch pizza. I’m sure someone loves it.
The service is extra friendly but they have been a little short staffed a couple times when we’ve eaten in the restaurant. Take out from Mozzarella Pizza in Hermitage has alway been hot and fresh and ready on time.
Watch for lunch specials which are also good for the Sunday after church crowd. And they frequently have a take out special on pizza so ask when you call in your order.
